Super Eagles interim coach Augustine Eguavoen has acknowledged the challenge that awaits his team when they face Libya in the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match.

Super Eagles interim manager Austin Eguavoen has emphasized the importance of tactical decision-making to winger Samuel Chukwueze ahead of Nigeria’s upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Libya.

Eguavoen stressed the need for Chukwueze to exercise discretion when it comes to dribbling, especially in defensive situations.

Addressing the media in anticipation of the AFCON qualifier with Libya, Eguavoen singled out Chukwueze, urging the talented AC Milan star to exhibit astute judgment on the field, particularly when it comes to dribbling.

“You can imagine Chukwueze coming to defence to help, he gets the ball, what does he do, not dribble,” Eguavoen told NFF TV.

“We know how good he is when he has to dribble, but he should know where to dribble; he should know where not to dribble.

“If he comes in he has to do his defensive duty. It is a responsibility but he knows what to do, so these are things we go through now and then.”

Note that Eguavoen and his boys are set to face Libya at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Friday, October 11.

Subsequently, they will play the return leg against the North Africans at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium in Benghazi on Tuesday, October 15.
