Former Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has commended the state’s women’s team and Nigeria Women’s Premier League champions, Edo Queens, for securing a place in the semifinals of the CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco.
The team demonstrated remarkable resilience by beating defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns with a 2-1 victory in their final Group B match.
In a statement released by his media aide, Crusoe Osagie, Obaseki expressed his congratulations to Edo Queens, urging them to go for the title.
