The Emir of Zazzau, Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, has turbaned seven District Heads in a grand ceremony to strengthen traditional heritage and foster development within the emirate.
The colourful event, held at the Emir’s palace in Zaria, attracted a large crowd from diverse walks of life, underscoring the significance of the occasion.
The turbaning, according to the Emir, was carried out in recognition of the new District Heads’ traditional lineage and their invaluable contributions to the progress of the emirate, Kaduna State, and Nigeria at large.
Speaking through his Senior Councillor, Alhaji Abas Ahmed Fatika, the Sarkin Fadar Zazzau, the Emir highlighted the importance of the new appointees’ roles in advancing the emirate’s socio-economic, religious, and cultural standards.
He urged the newly turbaned leaders to harness their experiences in bringing glory, respect, and positive development to the emirate while ensuring their actions promote unity, harmony, and tolerance among their followers.
The Emir further tasked them with preserving and boosting the traditional and cultural heritage of the Zazzau Emirate, emphasizing their responsibility to contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic and educational progress of the people.
He also warned the district heads to avoid actions detrimental to the norms and culture of the people, urging them to serve as exemplary ambassadors of the emirate wherever they find themselves.
Those turbaned were the Dan Isa, Alhaji Mustapha Aliyu Shehu Idris, Sarki Dawakin Tsakar gida, Alhaji Junaid Muhammadu, Ciroman Dawaki, Alhaji Musa Tijjani Umar and Janjuna, Alhaji Suleiman Mijinyawa.
Others are Daneji, Alhaji Salisu Hamza, Tafidan Kudu, Alhaji Lawal Mukhtar Sambo and Tafidan Arewa, Alhaji Abdullahi Yahaya Makama.
