Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has hailed the appointment of Daniel Bwala, a former aide to the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, as one of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s spokespersons.
Naija News reports that Bwala was appointed as special adviser on media and public communications for the State House on Thursday.
In a statement released by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Bwala, a lawyer and public affairs analyst, would be instrumental in shaping the President’s message and engaging with the public.
Reacting in a post shared on his X page, Fani-Kayode congratulated Bwala and expressed confidence in his abilities to serve the country.
He wrote, “Congratulations to my dear aburo @BwalaDaniel on his appointment as Special Advisor on Media and Public Communications to @officialABAT. I have no doubt that you will do an excellent job and I am very proud of you. May God guide, protect & lead you as you serve our fatherland.”
Meanwhile, Bwala, in a post via his account on the X platform, expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the appointment.
He stated that the appointment reflects Tinubu’s confidence and trust in him. The new aide said he was humbled and honoured by the opportunity and pledged to excel in his new role.
“I want to express my profound gratitude to Mr President @officialABAT for the demonstration of confidence and trust by this appointment. I am indeed humbled and honoured to be called to serve our dear nation under the esteemed leadership of a courageous C-in-C and father,” he wrote.
