Ikorodu City’s head coach, Bright Ozebagbe, has stressed that his team would bounce back after a challenging start to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Ikorodu City are scheduled to face Plateau United at the New Jos Stadium at 4 p.m. later today, October 6. Note that in Ikorodu City’s first four games in the league, they have managed to draw a game and suffered three defeats. They are currently sitting at the bottom of the league table with just a point.

Ahead of the matchday 5 fixture, Ozebagbe emphasized that despite the challenges posed by their winless streak, the players are determined to secure maximum points in the upcoming game.

Acknowledging the difficulties faced in preparing the team due to their recent performance, Ozebagbe revealed that they have successfully motivated and rallied the players for the crucial fixture.

“It’s been challenging after a poor run of form, but we have been able to talk ourselves out of it,” Ozebagbe told Ikorodu City media in a pre-match interview.

“It’s football, we take one game at a time. The boys are in a good mood; we rested well, and we are ready for the game against Plateau United.

“Ikorodu City and Plateau United are in the same boat, so whoever wants it more will take it in the game.”
