Kada Kings and the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) have emerged as champions of the 2024 National Beach Volleyball Star Tour in the men’s and women’s categories, respectively, Sports247 reports
Both teams went unbeaten throughout the competition, which took place in Bauchi State.
Engineer Musa Nimrod, President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), commended Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, for his transformative efforts in the development of sports in the state.
Nimrod, who was represented by the NVBF North East Zonal Representative, DCP Stephen Hasso, said:
“I must express my sincere gratitude to the Governor of Bauchi State, His Excellency Senator Bala Mohammed. Your leadership and commitment to the development of sports in Bauchi have been exemplary.
“The construction of the world-class twin beach volleyball courts we are standing on today is a testament to your vision and dedication to creating lasting infrastructure for future generations of athletes.
“I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Salis Gamawa, for his relentless support in facilitating this tournament. Your efforts have been instrumental in making this event a reality.”
Nimrod also took a moment to praise the players for their outstanding performances during the 2024 National Beach Volleyball Tour.
“I must also acknowledge the true stars of this tournament: our players. It is your talent, dedication, and passion that bring events like this to life. Beach volleyball requires immense skill, teamwork, and resilience, and the level of performance we’ve witnessed over the past few days has been nothing short of inspiring. You’ve shown that Nigeria has a wealth of potential in beach volleyball, and we are incredibly proud of all of you.”
The NVBF President emphasized the Federation’s ongoing commitment to the development of the sport.
“As a Federation, we remain committed to growing the sport at all levels. We will continue to focus on building a robust league system that will provide players with a platform to hone their skills and prepare for international competitions. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that Nigerian players are well-prepared to represent the country on the global stage and compete at the highest levels.”
