It was another successful edition of the Lagos Keep Fit Initiative, a monthly event that has quickly become a city-wide phenomenon.

“For me, this is more than just exercise,” Damilare said, his eyes scanning the vibrant crowd. “It’s about bringing the community together, fostering connections, and promoting healthy living. I’m deeply grateful to my principal, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for trusting me with this platform. It’s a privilege to serve and bring our people together towards a healthier future.”

Damilare’s excitement was palpable, not just about the success of this event, but about what lay ahead. “Yes, today was a success, and I’m proud of the turnout, but I know we can do even better. December’s edition is going to be different—it’s not just about keeping fit, it’s about celebrating life together.”

The December event, dubbed Keep Fit Lagos Fiesta, promises to be a landmark event. “It’s going to be the first of its kind under the government’s umbrella—a true fitness festival,” he shared with a smile. “There will be fitness exercises, music, dance, raffle draws, and plenty of giveaways. It’s going to be a fitness carnival in every sense of the word.”

Reflecting on the day’s activities, Damilare noted the presence of young entrepreneurs who had come to network and showcase their products.

“This is a space not just for fitness but for opportunity. It’s a chance for the youth to come together, support each other, and grow. That’s the spirit of Lagos—innovation, energy, and togetherness.”

With the upcoming Fiesta, Damilare hopes to see an even more diverse crowd, eager to embrace a new dimension of wellness and social interaction.

“Lagos is more than a bustling city—it’s a community. Come December, we’re inviting everyone to witness what it means to celebrate wellness in a truly Lagos way.”

His message was clear: “Come and witness fitness in a new dimension!”. The December edition promises to not only be a showcase of physical fitness but a true celebration of the vibrant and dynamic spirit that defines Lagos.
