The 2024-2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday 8 took center stage across the country earlier today, October 21, and the games were not short of goals as expected.
The biggest highlight of the matchday was out-of-favour Super Eagles forward, Ahmed Musa scoring his 4th goal of the season for Kano Pillars as he continues to reannounce his name in the NPFL.
Musa’s 56th minute strike helped Kano Pillars prevent a home defeat at the hands of Kwara United who took the lead in the game in the 49th minute through the boots of Adeshina Issa Gata.
Interestingly, it was only the clash between Kano Pillars and Kwara United that ended in a 1-1 draw in the first day the matchday 8 as other fixtures ended in straight wins, mostly slim victories.
