#OndoDecides2024: ‘His Victory Is A Good Omen’, Gov Okpebholo Hails Aiyedatiwa’s Victory

Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has extended his congratulations to the people of Ondo State following the electoral victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, in the recent governorship election.​


Naija News reports that Governor Aiyedatiwa secured victory with a total of 366,781 votes across all 18 local government areas of the state, triumphing over Agboola Ajayi of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who received 117,845 votes.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, Governor Okpebholo expressed his eagerness to collaborate with Governor Aiyedatiwa for the mutual benefit of both Edo and Ondo States, citing the strong relationship between the two regions.

He also prayed for Aiyedatiwa to be blessed with the wisdom needed to lead Ondo State effectively over the next four years and to bring about greater progress and development for its citizens.

The statement read, “I congratulate my friend and brother, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, for emerging victorious in last Saturday’s governorship election.

“His victory is a good omen, and I am certain that we will work closely together to bring peace and development to our dear states as good neighbours.

“I also want to thank the people of Ondo State for voting for Governor Aiyedatiwa. I am certain that he will do well and bring more prosperity to the people of the State and Nigeria in general
.”
