The AW 109 helicopters feature a VIP configuration with leather seating and noise reduction technology.
Equipped with landing skids for enhanced load capacity and auxiliary fuel tanks, these helicopters can operate for up to 3 hours and 40 minutes, allowing for extended missions and long-distance flights.
They can also be customized with mission-specific equipment for versatility.
The Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, along with senior officers, was present to officially receive the helicopters.
Other attendees included Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence; Dr. Raji Isiaka Ogunshola, Director of Navy Affairs; and Caverton Group leaders, Chief Remi Makanjuola and Group Captain Bello (retired).
Vice Admiral Ogalla expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his steadfast support of the Nigerian Armed Forces, particularly the Navy.
