Nigeria U20 Men National Team, the Flying Eagles have defeated the Junior Elephants by 2-1 to book a place in the semi finals of the competition, Sports247 reports.
In a match played on Thursday afternoon at the Stade 15th Municipal Lome Togo , saw the Flying Eagles came from a goal down to score two goals in the second half.
The Nigeria side need to score two goals and then win the match after losing their opening day against Burkina Faso and they right did as both Nigeria and Cote d’ivoire are to the semi final.
Nigeria and Cote d’ivoire edged out Burkina Faso on higher numbers of goals scored as the three teams in group B were tied on 3 points and 0 goals difference.
Burkina babies could only score one goal while both Nigeria and Cote d’ivoire scored two goals each on Sunday.
Nigeria will now face Niger Republic in the Semi Final a win for the Flying Eagles will see a place in the final of the competition as well as qualify for the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
