The Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Muhammad Ali Pate, has told President-elect, Donald Trump, that his commitment to the United States aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s desire for Nigeria.
Ali Pate said this in a congratulatory message to Trump on Monday. Pate noted that the former US President’s re-election was remarkable.
The Minister of Health stated that Trump’s commitment to promoting the US’s national interest, economic resilience and peace aligns closely with Tinubu’s vision.
It read, “Congratulations Donald Trump on your remarkable reelection!
Your commitment to promoting national interests, economic resilience, and peace, aligns closely with the vision of our President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for Nigeria.
“We are committed to strengthening our collaboration with the United States, advancing initiatives that promote health security and well-being of our populations.
“Together, we can build a healthier and more prosperous future.”
Recall that Naija News had reported that President Tinubu’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Temitope Ajayi, likened Trump to the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.
He accused Trump, after a presidential debate with Vice President Kamala Harris, of using negative epithets to describe a country he wants to lead just to rile up his base.
On his X handle, Ajayi wrote, “Peter Obi is the Nigerian version of Donald Trump. Like Obi, Trump uses the most negative epithets imaginable to describe a country he wants to lead again, just to make a point and rile up his base.
“Kamala Harris prosecuted Trump very well in their first face-to-face debate last night. Kamala convincingly won the debate and left no one in doubt about her capacity.
“Vice President Harris knew Trump’s weaknesses and set traps for him. Trump fell for her bait. Both candidates have been fact-checked on their claims in the debate.
“While Harris was reported to have made just one incorrect claim, Trump made 33 false claims in the same 90-minute debate.”
