The July 2026 edition of the Henley Passport Index lists 44 destinations that Nigerian passport holders can enter without a traditional visa in advance. Nigeria ranks 90th in that edition. Henley counts visa-free entry, visa on arrival and some online authorisations together, so read the notes before you book.
How to read this list
- Henley groups together destinations where you do not need to apply for a visa before you travel. That includes visa on arrival.
- Ten entries are marked by Henley as visa on arrival. They are listed in their own group below.
- The other 34 are not marked. Some may need an online travel authorisation or a short registration. Example: Kenya requires an electronic travel authorisation (eTA) for most visitors, so confirm it on Kenya's official eTA site before you book.
- Rules change. Confirm with the destination's embassy or official immigration website before you travel.
