Logor Olumuyiwa is a Nigerian photographer, conceptual artist, and digital storyteller recognized for his contemporary documentary and conceptual work, particularly his long-running project documenting the city of Lagos. Logor Oluwamuyiwa was born in Lagos, Nigeria, at the beginning of the 1990s. He developed a deep fascination with his city of birth, which serves as a central theme and subject in his artistic endeavors. For his formal education, he attended Lead City University in Ibadan, Nigeria, where he graduated with honors in Computer and Information Science between 2006 and 2011. Furthering his creative skill set, he completed a Photography Course in 2013 at the Petra Skill Acquisition Centre in Lagos. Logor began his career as a freelance photographer, focusing on conceptual and documentary photography starting in 2013. He quickly established himself as an astute observer of Nigerian life, using photography as a tool for positive storytelling, social dialogue, and knowledge acquisition. His artistic practice often focuses on capturing the complexity and nuances of Lagos, leveraging black and white photography to emphasize structure and emotion. A significant body of Logor’s work is the digital archive titled “Monochrome Lagos,” a project spanning over seven years dedicated to cataloging daily life in Lagos through black and white images. This archive is considered a notable work that contributes to the visual documentation of Nigerian culture and urban existence. In 2015, he developed a new series called "Elephant in The Room" during a Gated Communities workshop organized by the Goethe Institute in Manila, Philippines. Logor Olumuyiwa has gained international recognition for his work. In 2016, he collaborated on the Gavin Project in Johannesburg, the Joburg Fringe, and the AVA Salon in Cape Town. A major career achievement was in 2023 when his work was featured in *New Photography* at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, solidifying his standing in the global contemporary art scene.
