Harry Ola'Tomi Davies (TD), born on June 9, 1955, is a Nigerian-British investor, author, speaker, entrepreneur, and digital transformation expert, widely recognized for his pioneering role in African angel investment and technology advisory.Early Life and Education Davies attended primary school at Corona School, Victoria Island, Lagos, and completed his secondary education at King's College, Lagos, and St. Gregory's College, Ikoyi, Lagos. He pursued higher education in the United States, becoming an alumnus of the University of Miami and the University of Miami School of Business.Career Progression and Achievements Davies began his career in technology in the mid-1980s as a systems engineer at IBM, where he was involved in writing microcode for the PCjr and teaching COBOL and FORTRAN programming languages. Following his work at IBM, he completed his Nigerian youth service at Elf Aquitaine. He is a globally recognized African angel investor and is credited with significant contributions to the startup and technology ecosystem across the continent. A major achievement is his role as President Emeritus of the African Business Angel Network (ABAN), where he helped formalize and grow angel investment in Africa.Current Status and Notable Works Tomi Davies is the CEO of DiaGlocal Collective and serves as Collaborator-in-Chief at TVCLabs. Additionally, he holds the position of Chairman of the Board at RevUP Caribbean. As an author and speaker, his notable works include advising technology companies and contributing to digital transformation in Africa and the diaspora.
