He is the founder and chairman of BUA Group, a Nigerian conglomerate active in various sectors, including cement production, sugar refining, and real estate. Rabiu is consistently ranked among Africa's wealthiest individuals, known for his impact on industrialization and infrastructure development across Nigeria and West Africa. Early Life and Education Abdul Samad Rabiu was born in Kano, Kano State, Nigeria, into a prominent business family. His father, Khalifah Isyaku Rabiu, was a successful businessman in the 1970s and 1980s. After completing his secondary education in Nigeria, Abdul Samad Rabiu traveled to the United States for higher education, where he studied economics at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. Career Progression and BUA Group Rabiu returned to Nigeria in 1988, at the age of 28, following the demise of his father, to oversee the family business.
