Overview
Jobi Cubana is the stage name of Obinna Iyiegbu (born 12 April 1975 in Anambra State, Nigeria), a prominent Nigerian entrepreneur, businessman, and philanthropist, widely recognized as a major figure in Nigeria's hospitality and entertainment sectors. He currently serves as the Chairman of Cubana Group. Early Life and Education Iyiegbu's education began at Central Primary School, Oba, and continued at Dennis Memorial Grammar School, Onitsha. He proceeded to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he studied Political Science, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in 1998. He was conferred an Honorary Doctorate Degree by the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) in November 2022. Career Progression and Major Achievements Iyiegbu’s business career began after he relocated to Abuja and founded the Ibiza Club in 2006. In 2009, he established the Cubana Group, a hospitality conglomerate that has grown to own several successful nightclubs, bars, and restaurants across Nigeria. His major achievement is the exponential growth of the Cubana Group, transforming it into one of Nigeria's leading entertainment and lifestyle companies. He is also recognized for his philanthropic efforts and influence in youth entrepreneurship. Current Status As a respected Business Executive, Iyiegbu continues to lead the Cubana Group. He remains highly influential on social media, using platforms like Instagram (@jobicubana) to engage with his substantial following.
