**Babs Ogundeyi** is a Nigerian technology entrepreneur and finance executive, best known as the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kuda Bank, a digital-only bank aiming to provide affordable and accessible financial services across Africa. He is recognized as a key figure in the modernization and decentralization of the banking landscape in Nigeria.Early Life and Education Ogundeyi received a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Business Studies and Accounting from Brunel University London. Prior to this, he also studied at King's College in Taunton.Career Progression Ogundeyi has over 18 years of experience in the financial services sector, with a significant portion dedicated to management consulting. His career began in management consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he spent 10 years leading audit and advisory engagements for major banks and financial service organizations across Africa. Following his tenure at PwC Nigeria as an Engagement Manager, Ogundeyi left around 2010. During this period, he founded a magazine which he later sold to a major Nigerian media company. He then became a partner at the investment company Redbrick Ltd. Shortly after, he served as a Special Adviser on Finance to the Oyo State government in Nigeria.Kuda Bank and Major Achievements Leveraging his extensive financial background and recognizing the need for transparent and low-cost banking options, Ogundeyi co-founded Kuda Bank. Kuda's mission is to make financial services more accessible, affordable, and rewarding for Africans, challenging traditional banking models. Under his leadership as CEO, Kuda Bank has become one of Nigeria's leading fintech companies. His contributions to the African fintech ecosystem have earned him recognition, including being named one of the most influential people in African technology by publications such as Forbes and The Africa Report. Ogundeyi is also a founder of two other companies.Current Status Babs Ogundeyi currently serves as the Founder and CEO of Kuda Bank, where he continues to drive the company’s expansion and its mission to redefine banking for the African continent.
