Clement Agba
Overview
Prince Clem Agba: Nigerian Politician and Development Expert Prince Clement Anade Agba, born on March 28, 1964, is a prominent Nigerian politician and technocrat known for his contributions to both state and federal governance. He was born into the royal family of His Royal Highness, Pius Kadiri Ikanade Agba, the Oliola of Uzanu. He began his primary education at St. Vincent Primary School, Auchi. His pursuit of higher education led him to obtain a Master's degree. Agba's professional career began in the private sector, where he worked with companies such as Pegasus Industries and Super Engineering before moving to the oil industry with Gulf Oil Company, which later became Chevron Nigeria Limited. His transition to public service marked a significant phase of his career. He served as a Commissioner in the Edo State Ministry of Environment and Public Utilities. During his tenure in Edo State, he was instrumental in addressing major environmental challenges, including playing a pivotal role in finding solutions to the state’s flood and erosion challenge, overseeing a robust storm water project, and ensuring the swift evacuation of the notorious Costain Isonorho dumpsite in just five days. In 2019, Prince Clem Agba was appointed as the Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, serving in this capacity until 2023. This federal role cemented his status as a key figure in Nigeria's economic planning and development landscape. As of his last known public office, he served as the Minister of State for Budget and National Planning.
