He is recognized for his distinctive vocal style and for being one of the fast-rising artists signed to Mavin Records.Early Life and Education Crayon was born Charles Chibueze Chukwu on July 8, 1997, in Surulere, Lagos State, Nigeria, and hails from Ebonyi State. Although born in Surulere, he spent his early years in Orile Iganmu before moving to the Ojo area of Lagos at the age of seven, where he was raised in a family of four. For his secondary education, he attended Treasure Court College in Ojo, Lagos. Crayon's musical talents were honed through self-development, and he is noted to play instruments such as the keyboard and vocals.Career Progression and Major Achievements Crayon's professional career began to gain traction when he signed with Blowtime Entertainment, an imprint of Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records, in May 2019. This signing marked his entry into the mainstream Nigerian music industry. Shortly after being signed, Crayon released his debut Extended Play (EP), *Cray Cray*, on July 12, 2019. The EP introduced his signature blend of Afrobeats, pop, and R\&B and achieved commercial success, contributing to his rising profile. He further solidified his position in the industry with the release of his second EP, *Twelve A.M*, on March 26, 2021, which included the hit single "Jackpot," featuring fellow Nigerian artist Bella Shmurda.
