Chukwuebuka Obi-Uchendu, widely known as Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, is a prominent Nigerian media personality, lawyer, and host. Born on July 14, 1982, in Benin City, Edo, Nigeria, he has become one of Nigeria's most recognized faces in the entertainment and media sectors.Early Life and Education Ebuka Obi-Uchendu completed his primary and secondary education in Nigeria. He pursued higher education in law, graduating with an LLB from the University of Abuja in 2004. He subsequently attended the Nigerian Law School in Abuja, where he was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2005. After a five-year working period, he furthered his academic career in the United States, earning a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Intellectual Property and Communications Law from the American University Washington College of Law in Washington D.C. in 2010.Career Progression and Notable Works Ebuka gained initial public recognition in 2006 as a contestant on the inaugural season of the reality television show, *Big Brother Nigeria*, where he finished eighth. Despite not winning the season, his exposure launched his career in media. Post-*Big Brother*, he transitioned into hosting and television production. His notable works include hosting the popular talk show *Rubbin' Minds* on Channels TV, and co-hosting *The Spot* and *Men's Corner* on Ebonylife television. However, he is perhaps most famous for his role as the host of the reality show *Big Brother Naija (BBNaija)*, a position he has held since the second season, making him synonymous with the program. Beyond television, Ebuka has worked as a freelance master of ceremonies (MC) and has written for various national newspapers, magazines, and blogs.Major Achievements and Current Status Ebuka has achieved significant recognition for his work as a media personality. In 2011, he hosted the first-ever live presidential debate focused on youth issues in Nigeria, which was broadcast nationally. The same year, he was selected as a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum. In 2013, the Federal Government honored him as one of the Best 100 Young Nigerians. He has received multiple nominations and wins, including the Outstanding TV Presenter of the Year (Male) at the Nigerian Broadcaster's Merit Awards and the Most Popular Media Personality (Male) at the Net Honours. Currently, Ebuka continues his work as the host of *Big Brother Naija* and maintains a high profile as an influential media figure. He is married to Cynthia Obianodo (since 2016) and they have two children. He is also known for being an ambassador for major brands, including Budweiser Nigeria, Samsung Nigeria, and 2Sure Nigeria.
