His first name, Korede, is Yoruba for "Bring Fortune." Bello is of Yoruba ethnicity and completed his primary and secondary education in Lagos. His passion for music began early; he started performing at the age of seven under the stage name "African Prince." While still in primary school, he formed a music group with a friend and began recording songs professionally during his secondary school years, later releasing his first single, "Forever." For his higher education, he studied Mass Communication at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, where he obtained a Higher National Diploma certificate. Korede Bello's career gained significant momentum when he signed a record deal with Mavin Records in 2014. Under the label, he released several notable songs. His major breakthrough came with the release of the semi-gospel and pop song "Godwin," which achieved national popularity and topped numerous music charts across Nigeria. Another significant track, "Do Like That," was released in 2016 and went on to be certified gold in Canada, marking a major international achievement for the artist. His notable works include collaborative tracks such as "Dorobucci" and "Adaobi" with label mates and the label boss, Don Jazzy. Throughout his career, Korede Bello has been recognized for his contributions to the music industry, winning the Nigeria Teen Choice Awards in 2014 and the 4th Annual Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards in 2015.
