Lil Frosh
Overview
Lil Frosh, officially known as Sani Wasiu Goriola, is a Nigerian rapper recognized for his contributions to the country’s street-hop and Afrobeats music scenes. He was born in 1997 in Agege, Lagos, Nigeria, and primarily performs in his native Yoruba language. Lil Frosh's career trajectory began in 2019 when his viral freestyle video, "Sonto Poilo Firi Yahoo," gained significant attention across Nigerian social media platforms, catapulting him into the national spotlight as a rising star. This success led to his association and eventual signing with Aloma Music Worldwide, a record label closely affiliated with Davido Music Worldwide (DMW). During his early career, Lil Frosh was introduced at international events, such as the African Music Fest in Dubai, positioning him as an emerging talent. He released several notable songs, including "50 Fifty" and "Kolere Body," which featured popular Nigerian artist Mayorkun. Other notable works include "Omo Ologo," "Like Dat," and "Waloda," many of which feature frequent collaborator Zinoleesky, along with other tracks like "Denge Pose" (feat. MohBad), "Money Is My Guy" (feat. Zlatan), and "Lojojumo" (feat. EMO Grae). His contract with Davido's DMW was terminated after allegations of domestic violence against his girlfriend came to light, marking a significant controversy in his career. Despite this setback, Lil Frosh has continued to release music, including EPs such as *Double XL* and *Most Wanted* in 2024. As of his current status, he continues to work as an artist, releasing singles and EPs and maintaining a strong presence on social media platforms like Instagram (@lhilfrosh).
