Mike Bamiloye

Michael Abayomi Bamiloye (born April 13, 1960) is a Nigerian evangelist, actor, filmmaker, producer, director, and dramatist. He is widely recognized as a pioneering figure in Nigerian Christian drama and serves as the founder and president of Mount Zion Faith Ministries International and Mount Zion Television.Early Life and Education Mike Bamiloye was born on April 13, 1960, in Ilesa, Osun State, Nigeria, but his origins trace back to Ijebu-Ijesa, also in Osun State. He received his education at the Divisional Teachers’ Training College in Ipetumodu, where he trained as a teacher. It was during his time here that he began his career path, which eventually led him into ministry and dramatic arts.Career Progression and Mount Zion Ministries Bamiloye founded the Mount Zion Faith Ministries on August 5, 1985. The ministry was established with the mission of spreading the Christian gospel through drama and film production. Since its inception, he has been an active evangelist, focusing his career on writing, directing, producing, and featuring in numerous Nigerian gospel films. His work, often characterized by strong evangelical themes, is credited with revitalizing Christian filmmaking in Nigeria.Major Achievements and Notable Works Bamiloye has produced and directed several influential Christian films. His early works include the widely known series *Agbara nla* (1992). In recent years, his ministry has continued to produce high-quality cinematic work. Mike Bamiloye is also an author, with published books including *Blood on the Altar*, *One Careless Night*, *The Return*, and *Walking Through The Fire*.Personal Life Mike Bamiloye is married to Gloria Bamiloye, a prominent Nigerian film actress and evangelist, whom he wed on October 8, 1988. They have three children: Damilola Mike-Bamiloye, Joshua Mike-Bamiloye, and Darasimi Gomba-Oyor. All three of his children are also actively involved in the ministry as actors and filmmakers. He is a grandfather to six grandchildren.Current Status Mike Bamiloye remains the president of Mount Zion Faith Ministries International, actively involved in the production of Christian films and ministerial work across Nigeria and internationally.
