**Chief Mike Agbedor Abu Ozekhome, SAN, CON, OFR** Michael Agbedor Abu Ozekhome (born 15 October 1957) is a distinguished Nigerian jurist, constitutional lawyer, and human rights activist. He is widely recognized for his significant contributions to Nigerian jurisprudence, civil liberties, democracy, and the rule of law. He holds the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).Early Life and Education Mike Ozekhome was born on 15 October 1957 in Iviukwe, Agenebode, Edo State, Nigeria. He began his education at St. Mary's Catholic Primary School (now Athekhai Primary School) in Iviukwe, where he excelled academically. Ozekhome pursued his legal studies at the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), Ile-Ife, where he earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. Hons) degree in 1980, graduating with several academic prizes. He then attended the Nigerian Law School, Lagos, and was called to the Bar in July 1981. He furthered his studies at Obafemi Awolowo University, obtaining a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in 1983. Ozekhome has continued his academic pursuits, acquiring another Master’s degree in Arts and later a Ph.D. in Constitutional Law from Alliance International University, Lusaka, Zambia. He is also a recipient of 15 honorary Doctorate Degrees across various disciplines, including Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) and Doctor of Philosophy (D.
