Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade (born July 19, 1991), widely known by his stage name Mr Eazi, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur. He is a prominent figure in African music, recognized for pioneering the "Banku Afrobeats" sound—a fusion of Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian chord progressions and patterns.Early Life and Education Mr Eazi was born on July 19, 1991, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. He grew up in an entrepreneurial family; his mother ran a small business, and his father, a pilot, established his own private aviation consulting practice. At the age of 16, Mr Eazi relocated to Ghana to pursue higher education. He enrolled in the mechanical engineering program at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana, where he began recording music in his free time. Initially, he intended to pursue a career in business and was involved in various ventures, including soft drinks import, gold mining, and food distribution.Career Progression and Notable Works Mr Eazi began his professional music career in 2012. He released his 13-track debut mixtape, *About to Blow*, in July 2013, which featured the singles "Pipi Dance" and "Bankulize." He gained significant international traction with the Efya-assisted single "Skin Tight" (2015) and his 2016 hit "Leg Over." In 2017, he released his second mixtape, *Life Is Eazi, Vol. 1 – Accra To Lagos*, further establishing his signature sound.
