Naeto C

Naetochukwu Chikwe (born 17 December 1982), widely known by his stage name Naeto C, is a Nigerian rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He is recognized as a pioneer in the Nigerian music industry, notably becoming the first Nigerian hip-hop artist to release a successful album in the UK. Early Life and Education Naeto C was born in Houston, Texas, United States, to Nigerian parents Dr. Kema Chikwe, a former Minister of Aviation, and Chief Herbert Chikwe. He spent his early years in Nigeria before returning to the U.S. for further education. He attended schools in Nigeria and the United States, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from George Washington University. Following his undergraduate studies, he briefly worked as an engineer before fully committing to music. He later pursued a Master's degree in Energy Economics from the University of Dundee in Scotland. Career Progression and Notable Works Naeto C began his professional music career in the mid-2000s, forming the hip-hop group "Da Thoroughbreds" with his friends, including musicians Ikechukwu and D'banj. His solo career officially took off with the release of his debut studio album, *You Know My P*, in 2008. The album achieved significant success and included the hit track "Kini Big Deal," which cemented his status as a major force in Nigerian hip-hop. He followed up with his second album, *Super C Season*, in 2011, which featured the popular singles "Ten over Ten" and "5 and 6." He released his third studio album, *Day 1*, and his fourth album, *Festival Nosy*, both in 2015.
