After obtaining his Senior School Certificate, he pursued higher education, earning his first degree in Creative Arts from the University of Benin. Obaigbena later enhanced his business and management skills by attending the Graduate School of Business at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, and the Advanced Management Programme at the University of Cape Town.Career Progression and Major Achievements Obaigbena's career is defined by his ventures in media publishing and broadcasting. His most notable contribution began in 1995 when he founded *ThisDay*, a Nigerian national newspaper published by Leaders and Company Limited. The newspaper quickly became known for its comprehensive coverage and influence in Nigerian politics and business. In 2013, Obaigbena expanded his media empire by launching the ARISE News Channel, an international television news channel with a significant focus on African affairs. ARISE News established bases in Lagos, London, New York City, and Johannesburg, and secured satellite transmission contracts to broadcast on major global platforms like the UK Sky platform and Hot Bird for cable distribution.
