Olamilekan Adegbite was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari as the Minister of Mines and Steel Development, succeeding Abubakar Bwari. During his tenure, he was a member of the Second Cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari. He served in this capacity until the end of the administration on May 29, 2023. Current Status Following the end of his term as Minister of Mines and Steel Development, he was succeeded in the ministry by Shuaibu Audu and Dele Alake as the Ministers of Mines and Steel Development and Solid Minerals, respectively.
