**Olu Maintain** Olumide Edwards Adegbulu, widely known by his stage name Olu Maintain, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is recognized as a prominent figure in the Nigerian music industry, particularly for his role in popularizing the hit song "Yahooze." **Early Life and Education** Olu Maintain was born in September 1976 in Lagos State, Western Nigeria, and traces his origins to Ondo State. His parents are medical practitioners; his father is a medical doctor, and his mother is a nurse. In terms of education, he obtained a diploma certificate in accountancy from The Polytechnic, Ibadan, in 2001. **Career Progression and Major Achievements** Olu Maintain began his music career in 1997. He was initially part of the music group Maintain (often stylized as Pizzeaz 4 Maintain), which included Adeboye Bammeke, popularly known as Big Bamo. The group released their first album, *Domitila*, in 1997, with the music being aired in October 1998. The group released six albums between 1998 and 2004, featuring hit songs such as "I Catch Cold," "Domitila," and "Alo," before separating in 2004. Olu Maintain rose to solo prominence in May 2007 with the release of the hit song "Yahooze," which was part of his debut studio album, *Yahooze* (2007). The song was a major commercial success and was named the Hottest Single of the Year at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards. In 2008, he performed "Yahooze" at the Royal Albert Hall, London, an event notable for featuring an appearance by Colin Powell, the former United States Secretary of State. This success was followed by a second album, *Maintain Reloaded* (2008). He has since released several singles and collaborations, including "Nawti" (2012), "Hypnotize" (2013), "Cinderella" (2015), and "Excuse My French" (2016). **Notable Works and Discography** Olu Maintain's most notable works include his breakthrough single "Yahooze."
