Peace Emmanuel Aderogba Oredope (born March 28, 2002), professionally known as P. Priime or Big P, is a Nigerian record producer, songwriter, DJ, music director, and mixing engineer. He is recognized as one of Nigeria's leading young Afrobeats producers, celebrated for his work blending Afrobeats, R&B, and Hip Hop.Early Life and Education P. Priime was born in Lagos State, Nigeria, into a family of choristers, which fostered his early immersion in music. He began playing the drums at the age of four, taught by his brother, and mastered the piano by age eight. He also plays the saxophone and guitar. He attended Nuga Paul High School in Ejigbo, Lagos. Following his secondary education, he further honed his skills by attending a summer school program at the Musical Society of Nigeria Centre.Career Progression and Notable Works P. Priime started producing music at age 15. His career gained significant momentum when, at just 17, he produced the hit track "Gelato" (2019) by DJ Cuppy featuring Zlatan Ibile. This breakthrough quickly established him within the Nigerian music industry. His production style is characterized by a distinctive "groove" and spontaneous energy. He is widely recognized for his high-profile collaborations with many Afrobeats heavyweights. A major step in his career involved refining his craft at the Sarz Academy, a training incubator founded by producer Sarz. His notable discography includes the production of hit singles such as "Loading" by Olamide featuring Bad Boy Timz, "Ozumba Mbadiwe” by Reekado Banks, “Bandana" by Fireboy DML featuring Asake, and “Electricity” by Davido and Pheelz. He also co-produced Wizkid's Grammy-nominated *Made in Lagos: Deluxe Edition* album (2022) and contributed seven out of ten songs to Olamide’s acclaimed album *Carpe Diem*.Major Achievements and Current Status P. Priime has received numerous accolades for his contributions to music production. He has won awards at the Headies (including Best Rap Single for "Loading" in 2022) and the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), where he won Producer of the Year in 2021. He also received the Best Music Producer prize at the African Music Magazine Awards in 2021. In 2022, YouTube named him one of the two Nigerian Producers for the YouTube Black Voices Songwriter/Producer Class. Beyond his work in the music studio, P. Priime has expressed interest in modeling and has walked the runway for Elfreda Kahlo at the Lagos Fashion Week 2021. As of his most recent activities, he continues to be a highly influential figure in the global expansion of Afrobeats.
