Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu is a Nigerian politician and pharmacist who served as the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) from 2019 to 2023. She has built a career centered on political administration, youth development, and social welfare, contributing significantly to governance at both the state and federal levels in Nigeria. Early Life and Education Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu was born on November 12, 1970, in Wuse, Abuja, into the royal family of Sarkin Dazo. She hails from Lokoja, Kogi State. Her father, late Alhaji Mamman Tijjani Aliyu, was a former commissioner in the defunct Kwara State and later Kogi State. Aliyu began her education at Dawaki Primary School, Suleja, Niger State, and completed her secondary education at the Federal Government College, Minna. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. She also holds a second degree in Pharmacy from the same institution. Furthermore, she obtained a Master of Public Administration degree from Nasarawa State University, Keffi, and holds a PhD in Security and Strategic Studies. Career Progression and Political Life Aliyu began her professional career in the private sector before transitioning into politics and public service. Her political journey gained momentum with her appointment as the Special Adviser on Women Affairs, Youth, and Social Development to the Chairman of the then-Bwari Area Council, Federal Capital Territory.
