Rita Uchenna Nkem Dominic Nwaturuocha, widely known as Rita Dominic, is a prominent Nigerian actress, producer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. Born on July 12, 1975, she originates from Aboh, Mbaise, in Imo State, Nigeria. Dominic is the youngest of four children. Her family background includes her father, who was a medical doctor, and her mother, who was a nursing officer. Dominic's formal education began at the Federal Government College, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State. She then proceeded to the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT), where she earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Theatre Arts. Her early exposure to the performing arts paved the way for her career in acting. Her career in Nollywood officially began in 1998, and she has since starred in over 100 Nollywood productions. Over more than two decades, Dominic has established herself as a symbol of excellence and resilience in the Nigerian film industry.
