Tonto Charity Dikeh (born June 9, 1985) is a Nigerian actress, singer, songwriter, and philanthropist. She is recognized as one of the most prominent figures in Nollywood, known for her diverse acting roles and public humanitarian efforts. Early Life and Education Tonto Dikeh was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers, Nigeria, and is the third of five children in a family of seven. Her family is of Ikwerre descent, originating from Obio-Akpor, a Local Government Area in Rivers State, South-South Nigeria. Dikeh lost her mother at the age of three and was subsequently raised by her step-mother. For her tertiary education, she attended Rivers State University. Career Progression and Notable Works Dikeh began her career in Nollywood in 2006. She rose to prominence for her captivating and often controversial roles in Nigerian movies. Her notable works include "Missing Rib," "Games Fools Play," "A Night with the King," and "Zara." Beyond acting, Dikeh pursued a brief career in music. In June 2014, she was signed to Nigerian singer D'banj’s record label, DB Records, though she announced her departure from the label in March 2015.
