**Sabo Nanono** (born April 11, 1946) is a Nigerian politician, economist, and businessman who served as the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development from 2019 until September 2021. He is recognized for his extensive career in banking, academia, and public service. **Early Life and Education** Sabo Nanono was born in Gabasawa Local Government Area of Kano State, Nigeria. He pursued higher education both in Nigeria and abroad. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. In 1972, he worked as a planning officer in the Kano State Government. He transitioned into academia, serving as a university lecturer from 1973 to 1978. In July 1978, he joined the New Nigeria Development Company (NNDC) where he worked as a Senior Investment Executive.
