Tony Tetuila, born in 1974, is a Nigerian hip-hop artist and prominent figure in the country's music scene. He is a native of Oro, Kwara State. His early career began as a member of the influential, now-defunct hip-hop group, The Remedies, alongside Eedris Abdulkareem and Eddy Montana. Tetuila's solo career took off after he split from The Remedies, achieving significant success with hits like "My Car," and the notable track "Omode Meta," which is recognized as Nigeria's first-ever diss track. He is celebrated for his contribution to pioneering Nigerian hip-hop and for establishing a successful music career post-group dissolution. In addition to his music career, Tony Tetuila has explored politics. In 2014, he ran for a seat in the Kwara State House of Assembly as a candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) party, although he later claimed he was denied the political position. He has also been involved in various legal matters related to his music, including a lawsuit against fellow artist Wizkid. As of his current status, he remains active in the public eye, managing his music legacy and exploring other ventures, including politics.
