Alex Iwobi

Alexander Chuka Iwobi (born May 3, 1996) is a Nigerian professional footballer who primarily plays as a winger or attacking midfielder for Fulham in the English Premier League and for the Nigeria national team, the Super Eagles. Known for his versatility, technical skills, and creativity, Iwobi is a significant figure in both English football and the Afircan game. Early Life and Education Iwobi was born in Lagos, Nigeria, and moved to England at the age of four. He is the nephew of legendary Nigerian footballer Jay-Jay Okocha. He grew up in Newham, London, and his association with Arsenal began early, joining the club's academy while still in primary school. He attended the Coopers Company and Coborn School in Upminster, where he pursued his academic and early football development. Career Progression Iwobi joined the Arsenal academy in 2004 and rose through the youth ranks, making his competitive senior debut for the club in October 2015. He quickly established himself in the first-team squad under manager Arsène Wenger, earning praise for his work rate and ability to link play. In 2019, Iwobi moved to Everton in a high-profile transfer. After three years at Everton, he joined Fulham in 2023, where he has become a key player in their midfield and attack.
