Known for his exceptional pace, athleticism, aerial prowess, and clinical finishing, he has achieved global recognition through his performances in top European leagues and for the Nigerian national team. Early Life and Education Victor James Osimhen was born on December 29, 1998, in Lagos, Nigeria. He grew up in the Olusosun area of Lagos, a challenging environment where he often had to hawk sachet water in traffic to help his family make ends meet. He is the youngest of six children. His early passion for football was nurtured on the streets of Lagos. Osimhen's dedication to the sport led him to attend the Ultimate Strikers Academy in Lagos, where his talent quickly became evident, paving the way for his professional career. Career Progression Osimhen rose to international prominence following his stellar performance at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile, where he won the Golden Boot and Silver Ball, leading Nigeria to victory. His professional career in Europe began in 2017 when he signed with German club VfL Wolfsburg. After a challenging period marked by injuries, he was loaned to Belgian club Charleroi in 2018, where he rediscovered his form, scoring 20 goals in 36 matches. This successful spell led to a permanent transfer to Charleroi, followed swiftly by a move to French Ligue 1 side Lille OSC in 2019.
