Abayomi Alvin
Overview
Towase Abayomi Alvin (born June 20, 1993, in Lagos, Nigeria) is a prominent Nigerian actor and model, recognized for his significant contributions to the Nigerian film industry, commonly known as Nollywood. His career, spanning over a decade, has seen him star in both film and television, earning him recognition for his diverse roles. Alvin made his professional entry into Nollywood in 2013, following a series of auditions. His first major film role was in the 2014 movie, 'Collateral War,' directed by Iwuanyanwu Chuks and produced by Chioma Okeke. This early role helped establish his presence in the industry. Since then, he has maintained an active career, participating in numerous television series and feature films. He is known for his roles in several notable productions, including the television series *Jenifa's Diary* and *MTV Shuga Naija*. His filmography includes appearances in works such as *Isoken*, *Moms at War* (2018), *Kasala* (2018), *LOUD* (2020), *A Naija Christmas* (2021), and *Breakout* (2022), where he played the character Femi Bankole in what was described as Nigeria's first dance-drama TV series. Other works include *Calabash Banking Series*, *Jemeji*, *The Johnsons*, *Alive*, *Mentally*, *Truth*, *You and Me*, and *The Guys*. Abayomi Alvin's talent has been acknowledged through several awards and nominations. He is a recipient of the 19teen Rom Awards Best Actor award in 2017 and the Maya Awards Industry Cynosure award. In 2022, he also secured a nomination for The Future Awards Africa Prize For Acting. He continues to be an influential figure in Nollywood.
