Angela Okorie (born August 17, 1985, as Angela Ijeoma Okorie) is a Nigerian actress, singer, and entrepreneur. Recognized as a prominent figure in the Nigerian film industry (Nollywood), she has starred in over 100 films, establishing a reputation for her dynamic and versatile roles. Early Life and Education Angela Okorie was born and raised in Cotonou, Benin Republic, where she spent her formative years as the third of five children. Although raised in Benin, she is a native of Ishiagu in the Ivo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Nigeria. For her higher education, Okorie studied Theatre Arts at the University of Lagos and also holds a degree in Public Administration from Lagos State University. Career Progression and Notable Works Okorie initially worked as a model for a decade, notably for a soap company, before venturing into Nollywood in 2009. Her debut film was "Sincerity" (2009). Following her entrance into the film industry, she rapidly built her portfolio, acting in a significant number of movies between 2009 and 2014. Her career highlights include roles in films such as "The Baby" (2014), "Yankee Students" (2015), "Agaracha the Lioness" (2016), "Brother Jekwu" (2016), and "Divorce Not Allowed" (2018).
