Biodun Christine Olujimi is a prominent Nigerian politician who served as a Senator representing the Ekiti South Senatorial District in the Nigerian National Assembly. She began her education at Our Lady of Apostles Primary School, Kaduna, and later attended Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) in Lagos, where she earned a Diploma in Journalism. Committed to lifelong learning, she furthered her studies, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Political Science and a Postgraduate Degree (PGD) in Public Relations and Marketing from the University of Abuja.Career Progression Olujimi’s career began in the media sector, where she worked as a presenter and reporter at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). She later transitioned into public relations, serving as the Head of Corporate Communications for various organizations. Her political career began in 1997 when she was elected as the National Publicity Secretary of the now-defunct National Centre Party of Nigeria (NCPN). Following Nigeria's return to democracy in 1999, she served as the Special Assistant on Women Affairs to the Governor of Ekiti State. In 2003, Olujimi was appointed as the Ekiti State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure. She later served as the Deputy Governor of Ekiti State between 2005 and 2006. In 2015, she achieved a significant milestone by being elected as a Senator to represent the Ekiti South Senatorial District in the 8th National Assembly. During her tenure, she served in several key committees. She was re-elected in 2019, further cementing her influence in the federal legislature.
