Chinedu Ikedieze, MFR (born December 12, 1977) is a highly prominent Nigerian actor, entrepreneur, and investor in the Nollywood film industry. He is widely celebrated for his groundbreaking role as 'Aki' alongside Osita Iheme ('Pawpaw') in the 2002 blockbuster film *Aki na Ukwa*. This performance cemented his reputation and established one of the most successful comedic duos in Nigerian cinema history, often leading to him being popularly referred to by his character name, "Aki." Ikedieze was born in Bende, Abia State, Nigeria. He pursued his education at the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu, where he studied Mass Communication. His early aspirations in acting led him to the Nigerian film industry, initially taking on minor roles before achieving his breakthrough. His acting career, which spans over two decades, took a decisive turn with *Aki na Ukwa* in 2002. Since then, he has starred in over 150 films, showcasing his versatility across various genres, though he is best known for comedic and family-oriented roles. His collaboration with Osita Iheme became a cinematic phenomenon, making them household names across Africa and beyond. Notable works include *The Tom and Jerry* (2003), *Dear Affy* (2020), and the sequel *Aki and Pawpaw* (2021). For his substantial contributions to the Nigerian film industry and his impact on Nigerian culture, Ikedieze was honored by the then-President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, with the national honor of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) in 2011. Beyond acting, Ikedieze is actively involved as an entrepreneur and investor. He continues to work in Nollywood films and maintains a prominent presence in the entertainment sector.
