Eucharia Anunobi is a veteran Nigerian actress, producer, and evangelist, widely recognized for her enduring career in the Nollywood film industry. She is best known for her roles in groundbreaking movies such as *Glamour Girls* and *Abuja Connection*.Early Life and Education Eucharia Anunobi was born on May 27, 1965, in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria. For her tertiary education, she attended the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Enugu, where she obtained a National Diploma in Mass Communication. She furthered her studies at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language.Career Progression and Notable Works Anunobi began her acting career around 1995 and quickly rose to prominence. She came into the limelight for her role in the 1996 movie series *Glamour Girls II*. Her career flourished during the late 1990s and early 2000s, establishing her as one of the leading figures in Nollywood. She has starred in over 90 movies. Her most notable work is often cited as the film *Abuja Connection*, which earned her significant recognition. Other notable works include *My Madam & I* and *Letters to a Stranger*.Major Achievements and Current Status A major achievement in her career includes a nomination at the 2020 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) for Best Supporting Actress in a Movie or TV Series. Beyond acting and producing, Eucharia Anunobi also entered Christian ministry. She is currently serving as an evangelist and preacher at a church in Egbeda, Lagos State. She was ordained into ministry and has publicly stated that she has maintained a celibate lifestyle since her ordination nearly 14 years ago.Personal Life Eucharia Anunobi was married to Charles Ekwu from 2000, and they had a son, Raymond Ekwu. The couple divorced after six years of marriage. Tragically, her son, Raymond, died in 2017 at the age of 15 due to complications from sickle cell anemia. In 2010, following her divorce, she filed a N100 million lawsuit against her ex-husband. As of her current status in ministry, she remains a prominent, albeit sometimes controversial, public figure in Nigeria.
