Lota Chukwu, born Ugwu Lotachukwu Jacinta Obianuju Amelia on November 29, 1989, is a Nigerian actress and writer. Although born in Nsukka, Enugu State, Nigeria, she spent a significant part of her formative years in Benin City, Edo State. She is the youngest of four children. For her higher education, Chukwu studied Agricultural Economics and Extension Service at the University of Benin. She further honed her craft by training at the Royal Arts Academy in Lagos, Nigeria. Chukwu's acting career officially began around 2014, and she quickly gained recognition in Nollywood. A pivotal role came when she was cast as "Kiki" in the popular Nigerian television series *Jenifa's Diary*. Her role in the series significantly boosted her visibility and established her as a recognizable face in the industry. Since her breakthrough, Lota Chukwu has featured in several notable films, demonstrating her versatility as an actress. Her filmography includes works such as *Falling* (2015), *The Arbitration* (2016), where she played the role of Faridah, *Fine Girl* (2016), and *The Royal Hibiscus Hotel* (2017), where she played Seyi. Other movies she has starred in include *Dognapped* (2018), *In Every Way* (2018), and more recently, *That Other Side* (2021). Beyond acting in films, she has also been featured as the lead character in music videos, notably Reminisce's "Ponmile" and Aramide's "Why So Serious."
