Mary Remmy Njoku (born March 20, 1985) is a prominent Nigerian actress, film producer, and director. She is perhaps best known as the founder and CEO of Rok Studios, a film production and television content company that was acquired by CANAL+ Group. She is recognized for her significant contributions to the Nollywood film industry both as an actress and a media executive.Early Life and Education Mary Remmy was born in Amuwo Odofin, Lagos, Nigeria, into a family of eight. She is the sixth child of her parents. She attended the Amuwo Odofin High School before proceeding to Lagos State University, where she studied Mass Communication. Njoku's passion for acting began during her formative years, and she actively pursued this interest alongside her education.Career Progression Njoku began her acting career in the early 2000s, debuting in the Nollywood movie *Home Sickness*. She gained significant attention for her role in the 2009 movie *Blackberry Babes*. Over the following years, she established herself as a consistent presence in the Nigerian film scene. In 2011, Mary Remmy married Jason Njoku, the founder of iROKOtv. Leveraging her knowledge of the film industry and her husband's expertise in digital content distribution, she transitioned from solely acting to film production. In 2013, she co-founded Rok Studios, an ambitious venture aimed at creating and distributing high-quality Nollywood content.Major Achievements and Notable Works As an actress, her notable works include *Blackberry Babes* (2010), *Missing Angels* (2013), and *Nwanyioma*.
