With a career spanning over two decades since 1996, she is regarded as an influential figure in the Nigerian film industry, commonly known as Nollywood. **Early Life and Education** Monalisa Chinda was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, South-South Nigeria, to Ikwerre parents. She is the firstborn of six children (two sons and four daughters). For her primary education, she attended Army Children's School GRA, followed by Archdeacon Crowther Memorial Girls’ School, Elelenwo, both in Port Harcourt. She later pursued tertiary education at the University of Port Harcourt, where she earned a degree in Theatre Arts. **Career Progression and Notable Works** Chinda began her acting career in 1996 with her debut role in the film *Pregnant Virgin*. Following her graduation from the University of Port Harcourt in 2000, she starred in *Above the Law*. Her career gained significant momentum in 2007 following her appearance in the popular Nigerian television soap opera *Heaven's Gate*. She made her transition into film production in 2011, serving as an Executive Producer for the movie *Kiss & Tell*, in collaboration with Emem Isong and Desmond Elliot. In 2012, she was notably featured as one of the first four Nollywood actors on the cover of *Hollywood Weekly Magazine*. Monalisa Chinda further diversified her media career in November 2014 by launching her own television talk show, '*You & I with Monalisa*'.
