Natasha Akpoti

Natasha Hadiza Akpoti-Uduaghan (born December 9, 1979) is a Nigerian politician, lawyer, and social entrepreneur, widely recognized for her advocacy for good governance and industrial development, particularly in her home state of Kogi. She currently serves as a Senator representing the Kogi Central Senatorial District in the 10th National Assembly. Early Life and Education Natasha Akpoti was born on December 9, 1979. She hails from Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State, Nigeria. Akpoti studied Law at the University of Abuja, where she obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree. Following her call to the Nigerian Bar, she furthered her education by earning a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Oil and Gas Law from the University of Dundee in Scotland. Career Progression and Political Journey Akpoti's early career was rooted in law and development, with a focus on human rights and social justice. Her transition into public life was marked by her activism and fierce advocacy, particularly concerning the resuscitation of the Ajaokuta Steel Company in Kogi State, an issue she championed prominently in the public sphere.
