Nkechi Blessing Sunday is a Nigerian actress, filmmaker, director, and screenwriter. Born on February 14, 1989, she was raised in Surulere, Lagos State, Nigeria. She attended Olu Abiodun Nursery and Primary School and later Barachel Model College for her secondary education in Lagos. For her tertiary education, she completed a six-month diploma in Theater Arts at Lagos State University and studied International Relations at Houdegbe North American University. Nkechi Blessing Sunday began her professional acting career in 2008. She has since been recognized for her versatility in both Yoruba and English-language films, marking her as a prominent figure in the Nigerian film industry, Nollywood. Her career progression has seen her transition from acting to producing and directing, establishing her own production house, Nkechi Films Production. Throughout her career, Nkechi Blessing Sunday has been featured in several notable films. Some of her key works include *Kafila Omo Ibadan* (2012), *Omoge Lekki* (2015), *The Ghost and the Tout* (2018), and *Fate of Alakada* (2020). She has also starred in films such as *Tanwa Savage*, *The Cleanser*, *Breaded Life*, and *Amira*. Her achievements include being named an ambassador for Nigeria Carnival USA and winning the Most Promising Actress of the Year award in 2018. In terms of her personal life, Nkechi Blessing Sunday was confirmed to be married to Ekiti politician Falegan Opeyemi David in June 2021, though the couple publicly ended their relationship in April 2022.
