Omoni Oboli (born 22 April 1978 in Benin City, Edo, Nigeria) is a highly prominent Nigerian actress, scriptwriter, director, producer, and author. She is recognized as one of the most influential figures in the Nigerian film industry, Nollywood, with a career spanning over two decades. Early Life and Education Omoni Oboli was born in Benin City, Edo State, in the South-southern region of Nigeria, and is a descendant of Mosogar in Delta State. She completed her primary and secondary school education in Benin City. She later earned a Bachelor of Art degree in Foreign Languages from the University of Benin. Career Progression Oboli began her career in Nollywood in 1996 with her debut in the movie *Bitter Encounter*. After a brief hiatus, she returned to the industry in 2009 with the film *The Figurine* (2009).
