Prospa Ochimana
Overview
Prospa Ochimana is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader. He is recognized as a prominent figure in African gospel music, known globally for powerful worship songs such as "Ekwueme." Early Life and Education Prospa Ochimana is originally from Kogi State, Nigeria. He began his journey in music as a teenager, singing as far back as 1992. Ochimana is a graduate of Linguistics from Nassarawa State University, Keffi, Nigeria. He furthered his spiritual and ministerial education by obtaining a certificate from the Dunamis School of Ministry in Abuja, Nigeria. During his early career, he joined the main choir of Dunamis International Gospel Church, which is led by Dr. Paul Enenche. Career Progression and Notable Works Prospa Ochimana is the founder and President of TornVeil Music International. He is also the convener of the annual worship concert known as The Jesus Experience, which features music ministers from around the world. Ochimana gained widespread recognition for his hit single "Ekwueme," and his notable works also include "Out Of My Belly," "You Are Jehovah," "My Devotion," "The Great I Am," and "It All Belongs to You." Major Achievements and Current Status Ochimana’s ministry has received significant acclaim both locally and internationally. In 2018, he was nominated for the City People Music Awards Gospel Artiste of the Year, and his single "Ekwueme" was named the Clima Awards Song of the Year. In the same year, he won the African Artiste of the Year at the Gospel Touch Music Award UK, and he secured the African Male Artiste of the Year award at the same ceremony in 2019. He continues to lead TornVeil Music International and hosts The Jesus Experience concert, ministering across Nigeria and internationally.
